U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton delivered the keynote address at the Gala celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, held September 18 at the Waldorf-Astoria.
The Cantorial Council of America will honor the 50th anniversary of the Philip and Sarah Belz School of Jewish Music at its 44th Annual Convention June 1-3 at the Rye Town Hilton in Rye, NY.
The convention will honor graduates of the Belz School of Yeshiva University’s affiliate Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, and will also feature presentations by nationally recognized scholars, musicologists, and Belz alumni and staff.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case Brown v. Board of Education, which ended segregation in the nation’s schools, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law of Yeshiva University will sponsor a series of events. They will be held at the Law School, 55 Fifth Avenue at 12th Street, and are open to the public.
