The Cantorial Council of America will honor the 50th anniversary of the Philip and Sarah Belz School of Jewish Music at its 44th Annual Convention June 1-3 at the Rye Town Hilton in Rye, NY.
The convention will honor graduates of the Belz School of Yeshiva University’s affiliate Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, and will also feature presentations by nationally recognized scholars, musicologists, and Belz alumni and staff.
The Philip and Sarah Belz School of Jewish Music, in cooperation with the Yeshiva University Museum, will present “The Cantor As Composer: Treasures of Viennese Liturgical Music,” on Thursday, March 18, at 7 pm.
