Organized and run by students, the Annual Awards Dinner of the Sy Syms School of Business honoring the 2004 graduates, was held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel. Ari Spodek, a junior, led the festivities as MC and Sy Syms, founder of the school and Bernard Madoff, chairman of the board, greeted students and guests.
This summer, YU undergraduates will get the chance to walk in the footsteps of Charles Dickens and James Joyce, dig for artifacts in ancient sites, and study life under the sea.
Yeshiva University honored Jay and Jeanie Schottenstein of Columbus, OH, at a dedication last month for an undergraduate honors program bearing their names. The Jay and Jeanie Schottenstein Honors Program of Yeshiva College was established five years ago through a gift of $8 million from Mr. and Mrs. Schottenstein.
To honor faculty members who published works this year, Karen Bacon, PhD, the Monique C. Katz Dean of Stern College for Women, hosted the annual book party on Dec. 18 at the Jerome and Geraldine Schottenstein Residence Hall on the Beren campus.
