YU Signs Three-Way Agreement of Academic Cooperation with Israel and India

Yeshiva University brought the public health systems of India and the United States closer together in September 2007 when President Richard M. Joel signed a memo of understanding with his counterpart from the Public Health Foundation of India. Now the two have joined forces with Haifa University in Israel to collaborate on research and educational opportunities for faculty and students at all three institutions.

Scholars and Political Leaders Explore Common Ground Between Israel and India

The numerous commonalities between India, the world’s largest democracy, and Israel, the smallest, were the subject of a conference, “Israel and India: A Relationship Comes of Age,” sponsored by Yeshiva University’s Center for Israel Studies and Institute for Public Health Sciences on March 30-31. The conference brought together academics and political leaders to address the two countries’ ties throughout history and in the current arenas of politics, business and medicine.
