Students Join Protest at Columbia University Over Iranian President’s Speech

When Columbia University announced that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was invited to speak on its Morningside Heights campus, Yeshiva University students immediately began organizing their protest. Despite being on vacation, at least 30 Yeshiva University students made their voices heard among the hundreds of other activists gathered to protest Ahmadinejad’s visit on Monday.

Yeshiva University President Names Cardozo Dean Vice President for Legal Education

Yeshiva University President Richard M. Joel announced today that David Rudenstine, dean of the university’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, has been named vice president for legal education and reappointed as dean. According to President Joel, Dean Rudenstine’s new appointment is in recognition of his and the law school’s continuing success and his contribution to the university.
