Rabbi Jeremy Wieder and Rabbi Aharon Lichtenstein will be the featured speakers at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary’s (RIETS) 25th Annual Hausman/Stern Kinus Teshuva Lectures. The lectures will take place in New York City and Jerusalem on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009 at 8pm. The annual lecture series occurs every year between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur and is run by Yeshiva University’s Center for the Jewish Future (CJF).
As part of an extensive adult education program at the Young Israel of Woodmere, Yeshiva University (YU) is offering a series of lectures on the timely issue of “Ethics in the Workplace” to the Five Towns community. The speakers are well known figures in their respective fields of medicine and law. Individuals who attend the lectures will be awarded Continuing Medical Education credits at YU’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Continuing Legal Education credits at YU’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and Wurzweiler School of Social Work will combine resources April 30 when they present a lecture series on grief and bereavement called “A Day of Hope: Healing Our Patients Effectively” on the university’s Beren campus in Midtown Manhattan.
Cardozo’s Program in Jewish Law & Interdisciplinary Studies, will be holding several workshops to encourage a cross-disciplinary conversation on the study of Jewish law. Each session will feature the presentation of a paper from either a legal or Jewish studies expert, with a response from experts in one or the other field.
