The YU Political Action Club Heads to D.C.

On Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, the YU Political Action Club (YUPAC) sent a delegation of 100 University and high school students to Washington, D.C., to lobby over 20 congressional members on the importance of the U.S.-Israel relationship. The students lobbied the members on legislation condemning the recent rocket barrage from Gaza into Israel, an initiative to advance peaceful dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians and concern for the rise of Hezbollah on Israel’s northern border. After attending meetings with the legislators, the group was fortunate to hear from House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) on the importance of involvement in politics and strengthening the relationship with America’s closest ally in the Middle East.
