University Life Issues Come to Light at Open Forums on Campuses

Sep 23, 2005
-- In a town hall forum initiated at YU by President Richard M. Joel, he updated students, faculty, administrators, and staff on campus improvements and an array of issues important to university life during meetings at the Beren and Wilf campuses. The gatherings, Sept. 21 and Sept. 22 respectively, are part of an effort to promote a university environment that is open, direct, and evolving. At both locations, the president began with a brief overview that included announcing David Srolovitz as the new Yeshiva College dean and introducing Rabbi Kenneth Brander, dean of the Center for the Jewish Future. He fielded questions from audience members that ranged from meal-plan and tuition costs to new construction and Sy Syms School of Business accreditation.
