View from YU: April 2021

Dear YU Community,

In the April issue of View from YU,  you will find Dr. Ari Berman’s historic trip to Dubai to help lead an interactive Yom HaShoah ceremony, the first Holocaust commemoration event held in an Arab country.

Students also commemorated YomHaShoah and Yom HaZikaron with a variety of moving events, followed by lively Yom Ha’atzmaut celebrations marking Israel’s Independence Day—all reflecting the mission of Yeshiva University as the flagship Jewish university.

You will also find stories of the many accomplishments sustaining the University’s strategic priorities—Values and LeadershipEntrepreneurship and InnovationScience and Technology and Great Jobs and Impactful Careers.

These stories include student and faculty awards, a YU-hosted mayoral debate, a new Physician Assistant program at the Katz School, and the launch of 36 Hours Of Giving, our initiative to raise critical funding for scholarships, faculty, the campuses and COVID-related expenses.
