YU's Radio Station On Air After Three-Year Break

Dec 10, 2003 -- After a three-year hiatus, WYUR, Yeshiva University’s radio station, is up and running once again. The online station broadcasts music without interruption from 1 am to 8 pm, Sunday through Thursday, and provides various programs between 8 pm and 1 am. Music varies from Punk/Ska, sports, rock, and Jewish music, to Divrai Torah and programs that address YU and the Jewish issues. Benjamin Nadler, WYUR director of public relations, said their audience has grown to about 200 listeners on both the Wilf and Midtown campuses since WYUR first went on air last month, with approximately 150 listeners from as near as Binghamton, NY, to Australia. Listeners can reach WYUR during broadcast hours with comments, suggestions, requests, and “shout-outs” at (212) 923-2471, via e-mail at WYUR@wyur.org, or by sending an AOL Instant Message to on-air personalities by using screen names RadioYU, RadioYU2, or RadioYU3. To tune in, log onto www.wyur.org and click on “Listen Live.”
