1 Professor Arthur Hyman Jewish PhilosophyDr. Arthur Hyman, distinguished service professor of philosophy and former dean of Yeshiva University’s Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies, will be recognized with the Alumni Award of Merit at the St. John’s College where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1944. The award, which will be conferred at the homecoming ceremony in September, recognizes “distinguished and meritorious service to the United States and outstanding achievement within his/her chosen field.”  Professor Hyman is an expert in the field of medieval Jewish philosophy and a member of many professional societies.
