Congratulations to Brookdale Residence Hall for earning Yeshiva’s first ENERGY STAR building certification and doing its part to fight climate change by using less energy than most other dormitories nationwide. By being an ENERGY STAR building, Brookdale is more energy efficient than over 75% of other dormitories in the country and allows Yeshiva University to increase energy savings while saving on the bottom line.

In addition, the certification meets New York City’s Local Law 87 requirements which requires all buildings over 50,000 square feet have an audit or “tune-up” every 10 years.
