Chesed Update

Sophomore CSIChesed is an important value to our Central community, Jewish community, and global community. It is for this reason we have made it a priority to create Central Service Initiative (CSI) missions during school time, to give us all a taste of the fantastic work people are always doing in our community to help those in need. The entire sophomore class spent the Tuesday before Thanksgiving on their CSI mission.  Students were given the choice to go to: Bobbi's Place,a free children's store for families in need, The JCC of Canarsie (food pantry), gardening and serving lunch at Senior Center - Met Council, Yachad IVDU Elementary School, and the Mount Sinai Hospital in Brooklyn. Said sophomore Miri Granik, "Playing music and singing with the kids at IVDU was an inspirational experience. There is so much I can learn from these kids."
